​Overview
  • For three weeks, Scriptwriters Houston will send its members ten words to be used in an original short play or screenplay.
  • Those wishing to participate will have one week to write and submit their work.
  • Scriptwriters Houston will read the scripts submitted and select three of them (per week) for a future staged-reading.
Guidelines
  • Round I begins on April 15th.  Paid members of Scriptwriters Houston will be emailed ten words, and those participating MUST submit their scripts to [email protected] no later than April 22nd at 11:59 PM.
  • Round II begins on April 29th.  Paid members will receive the next ten words, and those participating MUST submit their scripts to the email address above no later than May 6th at 11:59 PM.
  • Round III begins on May 13th.  Paid members will receive the next ten words, and those participating MUST submit their scripts to the email address above no later than May 20th at 11:59 PM. 
Rules
  • All participants MUST be paid members of Scriptwriters Houston.
  • Names and contact information MUST be sent with each submission.
  • All submitted scripts MUST be between 1 and 10 pages in length.
